Seeds Zones: are areas where seed of similar population genetics have been determined by scientists as being genetically similar and adapted through evolutionary processes for fitness.
Because of our commitment to biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration, St. Williams Nursery & Ecology Centre ensures that we know and track the source of all of our native seed and plants. We know the genetic provenance of all of our seed and plants used for ecological restoration and biodiversity conservation. If we do not have seeds or plants from your seed zone, we recommend that you contact our conservation and restoration biologists. We routinely collect and/or custom grow seeds/plants from many different seed zones for specific restoration projects and have capacity at our nursery to scale up conservation seed supplies where supplies are limited. |
